Claude Code 2.1.293 makes Claude Haiku 5.5 the default Haiku model

On the Anthropic API, Claude Code now uses claude-haiku-5-5 as its default Haiku model: 1M context, $0.10 per million input tokens.

Why it matters. Tasks that Claude Code sends to Haiku switch model with no config change, so recheck their cost and output quality.

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore bills short-term memory by data volume

Short-term memory now costs $1.00 per GB ingested, $0.20 per GB retrieved and $0.10 per GB-month stored, replacing a flat rate per event.

Why it matters. Agents writing frequent small events gain most, though ingestion and retrieval bill each event at a 12 KB minimum.
